Dumping and installing NSP Dumps using nxdumptool and Goldleaf

The following steps will help you dump and install eShop/digital base games, updates and DLC NSP's using nxdumptool and Goldleaf.

Dumping Your Games

  1. Launch SysCFW via Hekate. If you followed our guide for CFW setup, this is the Atmosphere PKG3 sysMMC button.
  2. Launch HBMenu and open NXDumpTool (nxdt_rw_poc).
  3. Select user titles menu.
  4. Find the game you want to dump and select it.
  5. Select nsp dump options --> dump base application
  6. Enable nca/tik: remove titlekey crypto.
    • Note: Failure to do so will cause error 2145-0001 (ES) in Goldleaf when installing.
  7. Select start nsp dump
  8. Dumping will begin. You can find the dumped nsp in /nxdt_rw_poc/NSP on your SD card.
  9. Once the process is complete, click + to exit NXDumpTool.

  2. Launch HBMenu and open NXDumpTool (nxdt_rw_poc).
  3. Select user titles menu.
  4. Find the game you want to dump and select it.
  5. Select nsp dump options
  6. Select dump update to dump an update, or dump dlc to dump DLC for the game.
  7. If dumping DLC, press L/ZL or R/ZR to change the selected DLC title to dump.
  8. Enable nca/tik: remove titlekey crypto.
    • Note: Failure to do so will cause error 2145-0001 (ES) in Goldleaf when installing.
  9. Select start nsp dump
  10. Dumping will begin. You can find the dumped nsp in /nxdt_rw_poc/NSP on your SD card.
  11. Once the process is complete, click + to exit NXDumpTool.

Installing Your Games

Prerequisites:

  • The latest release of Goldleaf (Goldleaf.nro).
    • Note: If the above release does not work, use this release of Goldleaf v1.1.1 instead.

Setup:

  • Copy the downloaded Goldleaf.nro to /switch on your SD card.

Installation:

  1. Launch emuMMC via Hekate. If you followed our guide for CFW setup, this is the Atmosphere PKG3 emuMMC button. Confirm you are booted into emuMMC before proceeding!
    • Note: If you get failed to apply 'nosigchk' and/or failed to apply 'noldrchk' when launching your emuMMC, please replace your hekate_ipl.ini with this one by overwriting the hekate_ipl.ini file currently in the bootloader folder on your SD card.
  2. Launch HBMenu and open Goldleaf.
  3. Select Explore content.
  4. Select SD card.
  5. Select the nxdt_rw_poc folder.
  6. Select the NSP folder to view your dumps.
  7. Install the base dump of the game by selecting the NSP with A, then selecting Install, then selecting SD card or Console memory and finally pressing Install once again.
    • Note: If you encounter the message that the NSP's content seems to already be installed, just select Yes and it will overwrite the currently installed base game/update data/DLC.
  8. You will be prompted to delete the file (referring to the NSP you've installed) after installation, for which you can select Yes or Cancel. Choose which option you desire.
  9. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for any game updates and DLC you wish to install, this time selecting the update and DLC NSP's instead of the base game NSP.
  10. After the install(s) have finished, Press + to exit to HBMenu or the home button to exit to the home menu.
  11. You should now see that your dump was installed, you can move your game dumps in /nxdt_rw_poc/NSP to your PC if you wish to use them for emulation.

You are now ready to start playing your dumped games in emuMMC! However, keep in mind that LDR and FS patches are required to run these dumps, and they need to be updated whenever you update Atmosphere or HorizonOS. To do so, simply redownload the latest release of fs-patch from the prerequisite section of this guide, here and follow the instructions there to update fs-patch.

Troubleshooting

Goldleaf errors with 2145-0001

You did not dump the software with the correct settings listed in the dump section, redump the game and ensure you have the correct settings.

You did not download the latest release of fs-patch from the previous page.
