NXDumpGuide

This guide will cover dumping games with NXDumpTool. For game modding, installation to an emuMMC or for archival purposes.

READ THIS BEFORE CONTINUING

Installing ANYTHING via "unofficial" (Homebrew) means is BANNABLE. Do NOT install ANYTHING obtained with this guide on your sysMMC.

It is ILLEGAL to share the files dumped using this guide. If you intend to use this guide to share your dumped games, you are misusing it. Do not ask for support with this.

Updating fs-patch

If you came here to update fs-patch, download the latest release from here: fs-patch

To update fs-patch, extract the contents of the fs-patch.zip file to the root of your SD card, replacing (merging, if on macOS) files if prompted. Currently, fs-patch is compatible with (up to) firmware version 21.2.0 and Atmosphere version atmosphere-1.10.2-master-eb34f9789.

  • Note: If you get failed to apply 'nosigchk' and/or failed to apply 'noldrchk' when launching Atmosphère, please replace your hekate_ipl.ini with this one by overwriting the hekate_ipl.ini file currently in the bootloader folder on your SD card.

Prerequisites

Section I - Requirements

  • NXDumpTool (rewrite)(nxdt_rw_poc.nro)

  • prod.keys generated by Lockpick_RCM

    Note

    Lockpick_RCM is not linked due to legal concerns, and help is not provided with obtaining it.

Section II - Instructions

  1. Download nxdt_rw_poc.nro and place it inside the /switch folder on your SD card.
  2. Check /switch on your SD for the existence of a prod.keys file. If you don't have a prod.keys, that means you need to dump your keys before proceeding.
